Swiss Snack Loaf

1 loaf french bread
3 cups shredded Swiss cheese
2 sm. cans mushrooms, drained
1/2 cup chopped green onions ( about 4 onions)
1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter... yep you read that right ;0/

1: Preheat oven 350. Make 1 or 2 cuts down length of bread, about 1 inch apart, cutting only about 3/4 of the way through. Turn bread and make crosswise cuts 1 inch apart, again cutting only 3/4 of the way through.
2: Combine Swiss, mushrooms, and green onions; mix well. Place bread on a large sheet of aluminum foil. fill each space between cuts generously with mixture.
3: pour melted butter over filled bread. Wrap loaf in foil. Bake until thoroughly heated and cheese is melted, about 40 min.
